            Mr. Glynn Alford, 82, of DeFuniak Springs [Walton Co.], Florida, passed away February 19, 2008. He was born January 14, 1926 in Andalusia to Homer and Tinie Clark Alford.

            Mr. Alford was a resident of Walton County. He was Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving his country in the United States Navy. He worked as an electrical engineer at Monsanto.

            Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents.

            He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth M. Alford of DeFuniak Springs; two sons, Ronald G. Alford and wife Janan of Broomfield, Col. and Kevin R. Alford and wife Julie of Maggi Valley, N.C.; one daughter, Cathy R. Davis and husband Pat of Boerne, Texas; one brother, Wendell Alford and wife Adileen of Birmingham, Ala.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

            A private memorial service was held at the family residence.
