            Allan M. Lackey, 80, of Guysville, died Monday, November 21, 2005.

            Born June 7, 1925, in Delaware County, son of the late Glenn M. and Harriet (Birdie) Paschall Lackey, and the brother of the late Glenn Lackey.

            Mr. Lackey was a 1950 graduate of The Ohio State University. He retired from the U.S. Dept of Agriculture in 1973 after working 29 years for various conservation agencies in Ohio and Washington, D.C. He was a veteran of World War II.

            He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Esther Jean Mayhew Lackey; two sons; three daughters; and thirteen grandchildren.

            Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home in Athens, with Pastor James Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Canaanville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Floral arrangements will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to: Canaanville United Methodist Church, 9075 Route 690, Athens, Ohio, 45701 or World Neighbors, 4127 NW 120nd, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73120 or Appalachian Community Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. Box 768, Athens, OH 45701. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
