SPRINGHILL [Webster Parish], LA—Mrs. Betty Lee Nix Butts, 69, of Springhill died on November 1, 2001, at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a courageous battle with a multitude of health problems.

            Services were held on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at Central Baptist Church where she was a member.... Burial followed at Welcome Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.

            Mrs. Butts, a retired Springhill High School business teacher, was preceded in death by her husband, Victor L. Butts, Jr. and her mother, Daisey Lee Nix.

            Survivors are her father, Otis Nix; sister, Willie Nix; daughter, Karen Robinson, all of Bossier City, LA; son, James Kevin Butts of Lewisville, TX; mother-in-law, Mrs. Victor Lee (Ruby) Butts of Springhill; grandchildren, Sherri Lynn Robinson and Patrick Robinson; great-grandchildren, Kristen Michelle Butts and Michael Mann....
