            Yvone Whitehead Reppel, a retired secretary, died Thursday [May 27] of lung cancer at Metropolitan Hospice. She was 72. Mrs. Reppel was born in New Orleans and lived in Jefferson for the past 40 years. She worked for the Levy, Smith & Genusa law firm.

            Survivors include her husband, Oswald “Schiek” Reppel; a son, Farrell B. Whitehead Jr.; a daughter, Debra Fisher; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline Moisant; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

            A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
