Patsy Sue (Robb) Waters was 73 years of age, born
February 22, 1934 in Howard County, Missouri. We were married 54 of those
years, raising a family of four children. Kansas City has been our home since
leaving the service in 1958. Momma was reunited with the LORD at 9:00 P.M. on
March 2, 2007 following thirteen years of congestive heart failure. She died
peacefully with her family at St. Luke’s Hospital North. Her wish was fulfilled
to die in the same old iron bed in which she was born. Yes, we did take the bed
to the hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Roger
and Georgie Eunice (Dennis) Robb and a brother,
Dennis Paul Robb. Surviving are husband Gene Taylor Waters, four children and
their spouses: ElizaBeth Jean and Henry Lee Grubb,
Kent Robb and Valerie Lynn (Turner) Waters, Mark Alan Waters, Karen (Hoffman)
Waters, and Eric John and Melody Lynn (King) Waters. There are eight
grandchildren: Benjamin Henry and Amanda ElizaBeth
Grubb, Robb Turner and Alan Taylor Waters, John Dennis Waters, and Breanna Grace, Collin Foster and Blake Preston Waters. All
live in the Kansas City area except Mark who lives in Colorado Springs,
Colorado.
She was a charter member and deacon at Northgate Baptist
Church. She was an active member of the Clay County Chapter DAR serving as
Regent from 1988 – 1992. She was a Girl Scout Brownie leader from 1961 - 1967
and Cub Scout leader 1963 – 1968. She was also active in the NKC Women’s
Auxiliary, Northgate Baptist Church GA’s and Bible School. In the early 80’s
she served as President of the Clay County Archives following which she was
instrumental in having Mt. Ararat Baptist Church moved from Howard County
Missouri to the Living History Museum at Hodge Park, Kansas City, Missouri....
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at
10:00 A.M. at Northgate Baptist Church and at the First Baptist Church of
Fayette, Missouri at about 3:30 P.M. the same day. Burial will follow at the
City Cemetery, Fayette, Missouri.... Park Lawn Funeral of Kansas City and
Fremont, Freese Funeral Services of Fayette, Missouri
will provide funeral services. Cremation....
