The two documents listed above are good examples of why we sometimes have what appear to be conflicting marriage dates. David Alford is the great grandfather of Elmer K. Miller AAFA #0984 who supplied the document. David was the son of Charles Alford and Rebecca Wilson, primarily of Lincoln Co., KY. Martha was the daughter of Jonathan Royalty and Mary Cannack.

Lula Alford, Manatee Co., FL, age 21 and John E. Bratcher, Manatee Co. FL, age 35, license issued 18 Sep 1911, ceremony performed the same day, filed and recorded there 19 Sep 1911 on page 243 book "C." Submitted by the late Willie M. Alford, AAFA #0128.
