Death notice from paper [in loose papers?]:

"Henry Hillard (Tobe) Fallis, 72, died at home of daughter Mrs. Sara Fay Fallis Alford in Lexington, KY, on Dec. 5. He was reared in Marshall Co. TN. He was a Blacksmith at Moorsville, Bryant Station, Roberson Fork and other places until he moved to KY. Buried Lexington, KY, Dec. 7. Survived Mrs. Lee Alford and two granddaughters Audrey and Nola Lee Alford." [Newspaper date missing and not included in obit]

AAFA NOTES: Henry H. Fallis/Follis died Dec. 5, 1942, in Fayette County, KY. Henry Fallis' death date was determined from the Kentucky Vital Statistics file found on the Internet at http://ukcc.uky.edu/~vitalrec/, however there he is listed as Henry H. FOLLIS and daughter Sara Fay is also listed as Sarah FOLLIS for both birth records of her daughters. Sara Fay (1895-May 12, 1976) married Leroy/Lee J. Alford (May, 1888-May 2, 1955), son of Joseph W. and Enola B. Foley Alford of Fayette Co. KY, about 1917. They had two daughters as listed above--Audrey Doris born July, 19, 1918, and Enola Lee born July 19, 1920. In 1920, they were living in Fayette County with Lee J.'s parents. Joseph W. was a descendant of Jacob Alford and Nancy Hunter, who came to what became Kentucky from Virginia about 1789.
