AAFA NOTES: According to the Bible record, Greenup Jenkins married Mary Ellen _____ who was born March 4, 1812. WAS SHE AN ALFORD? AAFA does not recognize this family. Several Jenkins-Alford marriages occurred in Kentucky in the families of Jacob and Charles Alford of Mercer and Garrard Counties. But if John and Elizabeth Alford were a couple, these KY families don't fit. If anyone can make the connection here, please let us know.
