DEATHS

Cecil C. Wallace died Sept. 18th 1948 at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN

Angie May Gill Wallace died April 13th 1969, in Lewisburg, TN

Lieut. Cecil Gill Wallace was killed in action in England on Sept. 25th 1944. Lieut. Wallace had returned from his fifth mission over Germany, having flown his plane over 200 miles on one motor, crashing at the Base Field in England. He was buried in the American Cemetery in Cambridge, England, but at the close of the war was brought to Lewisburg, TN, and was buried in a double grave with his father, Cecil C. Wallace, in Lone Oak Cemetery.

William Howard Alford, Jr. died October 7, 1972, in Lewisburg, TN. Buried in Lone Oak Cemetery, Lewisburg, TN.

AAFA NOTES: This is the family of Jane Wallace Alford, AAFA Member #550. Her husband was the great-grandson of William M. [Madison] Alford shown born 1818 in the Bible of John Alford above (2). William M. had a son John Nelson Alford who was William Howard Sr.'s father and William Howard Jr.'s grandfather.
