WILL OF FIELDING ALFORD

In the name of Benevolent Father of all I Fielding Alford of the County of Fairfield and State of Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament.

Item 1st I give and devise to my beloved wife in (living) her dower the farm on which my son Robert P. Alford now resides situate in Richland Township in Fairfield County, Ohio, containing about fifty acres during her natural life and all the stock, household goods, furniture provisions and other goods and chattels which may be thereon at the time of my decease during her natural life as above said. She however selling so much thereof as may be sufficient to pay my just debts.

At the death of my said wife the real estate aforesaid and such part of the said personal property or the proceeds thereof as may then remain unconsumed and ______ I give and devise to my children now living to wit:

my sons Robert Alford, Henry Alford, my daughters Jane _____ Margaret Murphey and Sarah Ann (Albright) to be equally divided between the above named children.

Item 2nd I also give and bequeath to my wife lot number 18 in the Town of West Rushville during her natural life and at her demise I give and bequeath to my five children to be equally divided between them.

I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty three.

Signed and acknowledged by said Fielding Alford as his last will and testament Fielding Alford seal in our presence and signed by us in his presence.
