WILL OF JABEZ ALFORD
In the name of God amen I Jabez Alford of Choan precinct in the county of Albemarle
and province of north carolina being of
sound memory and perfect health (praysed be god) Bott knowing the uncertanty
of mans life and nott knowing whow soon it
may please almighty god to call me home doe make this my will and testament
heerby renuncing all my other wills and
testaments and this to be taken as my last --
Imp: I bequeath my soule to almighty godd hoping for Salvatione in and thorough
the merits of jesus crist and as for what
worldly estates it has pleased god to bless me with I bequeath it as followes
I give and bequeath all my wholl estate reall and personall unto George Taylor,
Esayah Henly, Luke Haman, James Damovall,
Mary Damovall Thomas, Daniell, Sarah: joans, to be equally divided amongst them
Excepting two cowes and calfs to Susane
Jnoson: all of them being of the precinct above named. The land to be sold and
the divisione to be mad by my Executors after
named
Lastly I make and appoint Capton (illegible name) son and Thomas Dolla--(?)
of the precinct above sd my Executors in
witness wherof I have heerunto sett my hand and seall this 9th of July 1705
