Crimora VA, May 28th, 1930.
	I James Alexander Alford, being of sound and disposing mind hereby make this my last will 
	and testament. To my Son Odus Alford who has lived and cared for me in my declining years 
	I hereby bequeath the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. To my Daughter Hettie I bequeath the sum 
	of Two Hundred and fifty dollars. The balance of my estate, after paying all my just debts, 
	Doctor Bills and funeral expences, shall be divided equaly between my other children. 
	Namely, Mollie Alford, William Alford, Paul Alford, Mrs. Grace Ewing, Mrs. Blanche Tanner, 
	Mrs. Nannie Ellinger. I hereby direct that my son Odus Alford be the Executor of this Will, 
	that he be not required to give bond, and that he have the power to sell and transfer the 
	Real Estate I possess. Given under my hand this the 28th day of May, 1930.

	certify that we have witnessed the signing of the above instrument.

	VIRGINIA, to-wit:
	In the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court for Augusta County, November 27, 1933. This last 
	will and testament of J. A. Alford, deceased, was this day presented to me Clerk of the 
	Court aforesaid in the office of said Court and offered for probate. Thereupon the said 
	will was duly proved according to law by the oaths of R. A. Snow and B. Y. Harris, two of 
	the three subscribing witnesses thereto, and admitted to record as the true last will and 
	testament of J. A. Alford, deceased. The estimated value of decedents estate passing under 
	said will being less than $1000.00, it is ordered that the State Tax of $1.00 be paid 
	thereon. On motion further time is allowed the Executor named in said will to quality 
	hereafter if he may so elect.
