WILL OF JANE ALFORD
I Jane Alford of Wake Co., State of North Carolina, being aware of the uncertainty
of life, and in failing health, but of sound
mind and memory, do make and declare this to be my last will and testament,
in manner following, to wit:
1st, My Will is, that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid
2nd, I give, devise, and bequeath to my beloved husband Clem Alford, all of
my property, both real and personal, left after
paying my just debts, to have and to hold the same to him for and during the
term of his natural life,
3rd, At the death of my husband, Clem Alford, It is my Will that all his just
debts and funeral expenses be paid.
4th, I give, devise, and bequeath to my nieces, Jacky Ann Alford and Roxie
Alford, all of the property remaining, both real and
personal, to be equally divided between them, to have and to hold the same to
them, their heirs and assigns forever.
In witnesses whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal, this 19th day of October
1897.

Signed, sealed, published, and acknowledged by the said Jane Alford as and
for her last will and testament, in the presence of
us, who in her presence, and at her request, and in the presence of each other,
have subscribed our names hereunto as
witnesses thereof.
