NON-CUPATIVE WILL OF MEDICUS A. ALFORD


Medicus A. Alford a citizen of Franklin County in the state of North Carolina in the United States of America, serving as a private in I company in the Twelfth Regiment United States Infantry being on the 20th day of November 1847 in Perote in Mexico in view of his immediate decease doth make publish and declare in presence of Captain William J. Clark the following as his last Will and Testament to wit: that he gives and bequeathes (sic) to his well beloved uncle Arthur B. Cook of Louisburg in the State of North Carolina all claims to Land Bounty and all pay and arrearages and all claims of every kind due him by the United States for his services as a Soldier in the War with Mexico making him his sole heir and representative.
