WILL OF WILLIAM ALFORD
In the Name of God, Amen
I William Alford of Stokes County and State of North carolina being of Sound
and perfect mind and memory (Blessed be
God) do this tenth day of December In the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and nine make and publish this my last
Will and testament in manner following that is to Say;
Item I will and bequeth to my beloved Wife Mary Alford All the frieholds (?)
Lands I now hold or possess With all my
personal Estate to remain in her hands while She remains my Widow, to Dispose
of as She Shall think propper both for own
use and to pay All my Just Debts with the Same.
Item but if my Wife Should marry or die I Do Allow All my Estate Both Real
and personal to be Equally Divided Amongst my
Children (After all my Just Debts is paid) to wit:
William & Joseph Andrew & John, sons & Mary Esther & Sarah.
Item I will and bequeth to my Daughter Margreat Crous the sum of ten Shillings
and no more.
Item I here By make and ordain my Wife Executrix and. And my tow sons Andrew
Alford and John Alford Executors of this
my last Will and testament.
In witness whereof I here unto set my hand seal the day and year first Writen.
