AAFA MEMBER MEMORIALS

An important segment of our membership is our deceased members. We are determined they will not be forgotten. Once a person joins AAFA, they are a member FOREVER!

Spouses of members are frequently included here. Their membership numbers are denoted with an s (female spouse) or S (male spouse), and no Ahnentafel is linked.

When AAFA learns of a member's death, the member is classed as a deceased member. A special memorial service is conducted at each annual meeting for those whose death became known during the past year. The member's memorial is placed on this page.

You will notice that the amount of information in a memorial ranges from name and membership number to several pages. If you see someone in a Memorial whom you know or are kin to and you have something you would like to have added to their Memorial, we would be most happy to consider placing it there if you will forward a scanned copy of the item (obituary, photo, etc.) to us at our email address (found by clicking on the CONTACT link above). If it is a photo, please scan it at a minimum 300 DPI so that we may enlarge it. A copy of the image file will be forwarded to the AAFA Photo Archivists (click for contact info). However, if you do not have access to a scanner, please send the photo to the AAFA Photo Archivists who will scan the photo and return the original photo to the provider. We would dearly love to have a photo of every deceased member for inclusion on the Member's Memorial page.

We need help obtaining obituaries for many of our members and would appreciate receiving any noted below as "need obituary". If you have comments or questions or can add names or information to this file, please contact AAFA as indicated above. Those who might be inclined to send a memorial gift for any one or more of those listed, or for the group as a whole, may send to the AAFA Treasurer (click for contact info) a check payable to AAFA. Please annotate it for "AAFA Memorial" and in whose memory it's given.
